Elisabetta Massardo

Elisabetta Massardo is a mountain walker, photographer and botanist who spends her time in Genova and in Vernante, an Alpine village on the Via del Tenda (which dates from the Roman times) at 800 m above sea level. The village is in the Parco Naturale delle Alpi Marittime, of which one of Clarence’sfavorite botanising areas, the Parco Naturale del Marguareis, is part, and which is twinned with and borders the Parc National du Mercantour on the French side.

Elisabetta shares Clarence’s passions for nature and the montains and is every present with a camera to capture the rare plants she finds including The Ancient King, Saxifraga florulenta. She contributes to Clarence Bicknell’s web site and social media with her photography and she was elected in 2020 a Companion of the Clarence Bicknell Association. We thank her warmly for her work with us over the years.
